Onboarding that lives in your product.

Build tours, tooltips, banners, checklists and a help center right on top of your app. Show each one to the people who need it, then see whether it moved the number you care about.

What you do

Build on your real product, decide who sees what, and ship without a deploy.

Point, write, publish with the visual builder

Install the Trailkite Chrome extension and open your app. Pick the element a step should point at, write the words, choose a layout, and preview it exactly as your users will see it. Publishing is a click; your engineers don't need to ship anything.

Themes keep every step in your own fonts and colours.

Show it to the right people, at the right time

Each piece of content has rules for who sees it and when:

  • audiences and segments built from user and company properties and what people have done;
  • pages, domains and environments, so staging stays separate;
  • triggers such as a page load, a click on an element or the second session;
  • frequency, ordering and throttling so people aren't buried in pop-ups.

Speak your users' language

Add languages to any flow, checklist or survey. Translate in the dashboard, or export strings as CSV or XLIFF for your translators and import them back. Trailkite shows each person their own locale.

What your users see

Content that feels like part of your product, because it's drawn in it.

Flows

Step-by-step guides made of modals, slideouts and tooltips. Steps can wait for the user to click the real button (driven actions), follow them across pages, branch on their answers and collect form input.

Spotlights, banners and cards

Smaller nudges for one thing at a time: a pulsing hotspot next to a new button, a native-looking tooltip, a banner across the top of the page, or up to four cards embedded in your layout.

Checklists

A short list of what to do next, opened from a beacon. Tasks tick themselves off when the matching event happens, so the list always reflects what people have actually done.

Resource center

One place inside your app for news, guides, help articles and the checklist. Modules can have their own audiences, so trial users and admins each see what's relevant to them.

What you measure

Every piece of content reports on itself, against the goal you gave it.

Content analytics

See how many people saw each step, where they dismissed it and how many finished. Set a goal event and compare the people who completed the content with those who didn't.

Experiments

Test a flow against a control group, two flows head to head, or several variants at once. Trailkite splits the audience, tracks the goal and tells you when a difference is significant.
